From : 30.00 USD
Watch giant green sea turtles and scores of brightly hued fish swimming in and out of the nooks of a coral reef — without stepping foot into the water! You can see it all from the comfortable perch of a glass-bottomed boat, exploring Hawaii’s shallow and popular A’Bay off of Waikoloa Beach.
Watch sea turtles and reef triggerfish swimming
Your glass-bottom boat ride begins at Waikoloa Beach Resort and Spa, which is home to the Beach Hut at Anaeho’omalu Bay, otherwise called A’Bay. This boat cruise takes place on a shaded, flat-bottomed boat, where you can watch through six full-sized windows a plethora of sea turtles and fish, like the reef triggerfish (Humuhumunukunukuapua’a), living around the coral reefs of the bay. The outing is certainly perfect for all ages!
Sail around the stunning A’Bay
A’Bay is a beautiful shallow body of water on the Big Island’s South Kohala coast. Near Waikoloa Village, A’Bay helps feed the fishponds that have been significant to the Hawaiian culture for generations. Renowned for its snorkeling and sunsets, your exploration of the bay by glass-bottom boat will give you plenty to view above and below the water. After your cruise, stop by the A’Bay Beach Café on Waikoloa Beach to purchase shaved iced, drinks and snacks if you’d like.
